Natural Affinity Exhibition Pamphlet – 2025
Natural Affinity is an exhibition and live music performance by DJ Ben Spalding exploring how empathy impacts climate activism, and how a more intimate relationship to nature can build a better environmental future. This show includes an exhibition of student artwork from Maine colleges organized by Zach Liljeholm exploring the theme of “Empathy with Nature.” Rediscover your relationship with nature through embodiment, dance, and admiration, then take your passion to the beautiful outdoors!
Nature-inspired outfits and costumes are encouraged. This pop up exhibition took place in the SPACE venue on April 8th, 2025, alongside the Envisioning Resilience exhibition for one night only, with an artist reception starting at 6:30pm, music and more at 7:15pm.
Natural Affinity features selected artworks by Michelle Bechtel, Evelyn Eirinn, Miryam Keller, Calvin Kestner, Alyssa Letendre, Abbey Mills, Nick Myers, Caitlin Perrigo, Wills Phillips, and Isaac L. Stern.
Made possible with support from Sierra Club Maine Chapter, Maine Youth for Climate Justice, Maine Climate Action Now!, Friends of Casco Bay, Plant Office, Adobe, VIA Agency, and the Center for an Ecology Based Economy.
